Fishing Kayak. Best Value. Touring Kayak. You do not get any perks for the resort fee other than use of beach towels and dvd movie rentals for free. The location is right near everything. People line up 30 minutes before it opens, so if you want to get in, be there at least 20 minutes early or you will not get in, its a small place. The staff was great to us, very friendly and helpful with recommendations. OVerall a trully great experience. Its small, a little bit old, but a great place with teh best value.

You can't beat the location! In the heart of Waikiki directly across the big blue ocean and walking distance to everywhere in Waikiki. Great customer service. Only thing to be aware, there is VERY limited parking which is only available 1st come 1st serve, so that may be a challenge if it fills up.

Outside of that, wonderful lil gem! We'll definitely be back again! Whenever I visit Honolulu, I always make sure to book myself at this hotel.

Great hotel to stay at! We absolutely loved this hotel. The price was great and John at the front desk is one of the reasons we will be back to stay again.

The location is perfect, our room was clean and updated. We really enjoyed our stay. This is an older, simple hotel. It was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had an ocean view and sat on our balcony an hour a day watching the surfers. No pool - but did not need. As always, such welcoming staff members during our stay here.

We are locals here on Oahu, but we like to take a getaway, staycation trip every now and then. With COVID still going on, the staff members do a great job and going that extra mile to make you feel safe during your stay. My husband and I stayed here for the winter last year, and really enjoyed the location, our view of Diamond Head, having two bedrooms, a kitchen and parking. We liked it so much we booked our return trip before we left to head home for the summer. We were aware some plumbing and air conditioning work was to begin in the spring, and last throughout the summer.

We did place a call with the condo manager, Craig, to try to understand what was happening, and he was very rude and dismissive of our circumstances, and not willing to work with us to perhaps move to another condo in the building, etc.

Note that this is only at one end of the building. BUT the whole building will need to be repaired at some point.

This is actually our second time staying at the Aston Waikki Sunset. The first time was great and the location is awesome so we thought we would book here again. We found the staff at the front desk to not be very friendly from the minute we checked in. We asked about the hospitality shuttle that the hotel provides and the staff member just acted like he knew nothing about it. There was another guest who overheard our conversation and she mentioned that she had been there for a few days and had been paying for cabs because no one told her about the shuttle service.

Clients should be made aware of the services that they are paying for in the resort fee. Housekeeping was also not up to standard. The hotel as a whole needs a facelift starting with the Lobby. I definitely would not be staying at the Aston Sunset again nor would I recommend it. It's sad because the location is perfect. Black particles over everything floor, rugs, walls, drapes, toilet seat, walls.

Would not recommend at all for Small Boats Big Waves Youtube Jazz the elderly or young children. Or a service animals. Building is aware of this situation slowly switching out air conditioners over the next years. Read other reviews. This is more a public service than anything else. The rugs in the halls are filthy. Definitely nobody with respiratory issues at all. Location is great. Front desk staff is great! Building management terrible they should be ashamed to expose the public to this! We stayed here in January Our room was on the 19th floor with Diamond Head and ocean views.

We picked this condo because of the kitchenette and its price. I loved having the ability to cook our meals in the condo, BBQ, or walk to a restaurant. I also like the fact that each floor had its own coin operated laundry. It is convenient that we can don't have to pack lots for our 10 day holiday. Our room was located right beside the elevators however there was no excess noise from them. I was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful when we had questions.

A special shout out to Sandi, she loves her job and you can tell. First of all Huge disappointment. Our 3 bedroom villa was fithy Gross and disgusting. The kitchen sink has some kind of gross mold growing around the edges. So out dated, the coffe maker was straight out of the 80s. The glass dining room table had finger prints covering it, like it wasn't even cleaned for our arrival. The out door furniture was so old and weather you couldnt sit in the chairs without getting a splinter.

All the baseboards have a thick layer of dust. Windows, glass doors dirty. Our upstairs shower was leaking down a vent into the half bath downstairs. The beds in each room were the most uncomfortable and wrapped in some kind a plastic coving the matress. The grounds are beautiful, but of course it's Hawaii. I can't understand after staying here why it's a 4 star..

There was a baby crib in the room when we checked in. The next day the staff called to see if they could go in the room to get it to which I said use, They them called three more times and emailed twice! They were not very generous with supplies either- I think there was one extra roll of toilet paper and one extra garbage bag.

The sofa bed was old and in pretty bad condition. We ended up purchasing an air mattress because there was no way anyone was going to get any sleep on that thing. And i was really unimpressed when we got locked a few days before we were due to check out.

The door code had got changed without notifying us. I wondered what would have happened if we had come back to the unit after office hours? I have been to the Big Island many many time and Colony Villas is the best place we have ever staye 2 pools and nice excersise facilities, and a very nice tennis court to boot.

I would come here again without hesitation. Also felt very secure and safe. Property was beautiful as was the 3 bedroom villa we stayed in Home was well appointed and we did not lack for anything! Centrally located for all of our activities and with a pool and restaurant on property you really didn't need to leave if you didn't want too.

These are lovely Villa style units which have fallen upon disrepair. We stayed in Unit which has a great floor plan and nicely furnished. The unit though is showing signs of aging which was apparent in broken blinds lading to the patio. The management company is doing a very poor job: on check in we were missing all sorts of items such as kitchen dish soap, no sponge, a single trah bag, no soap for the dishwasher, a single partial roll of toilet paper in the bathroom among other issues.

The blender smelled as if something died inside of it. On the positive side, the sleep experience was good, quiet with good bedding. The fairway views are quite lovely and the grounds are well maintained. These units have great potential but are suffering as the result of management which seems a bit indifferent.

Thanks to all at the resort Dennis, Flory and Sharlye to name just a few our honeymoon was so much more than we could have asked for! We felt like family from the get go the fishing was tremendous, eco tours were so much fun and educational and the food and drinks were also wonderful. We want to come back for my Small Boats Big Waves Youtube Live husbands 40th birthday and I am sure it will be one to remember as well!

Spent a week in paradise We arrived in San Jose early, so ended up taking an early flight to resort. So arrived a few hours early Spoke to Leah at the front desk and nothing was a bother. She was amazing. Crocodile bay is like our second home. The staff and management are the best.

Dave Kanski was our booking agent and is one of the reasons we travel to Costa Rica. He knows his stuff and takes care of every detail.

Great lunches on the water. And tons of marine life and stunning landscapes. Boats and equipment well maintained. The resort is amazing. Wildlife everywhere and beautiful jungle like grounds.

The food is amazing. Fresh seafood every night if you wish. Tried the spa for first time and it was a amazing. Had a very sore muscle issue in right leg. My therapist worked on it every other day and now I am pain free. Highly recommend. Thanks to all at the resort Olympia, Maria and Flory to name a few. All the fishing Captain and Mates are amazing. Our booking agent for Crocodile Bay David couldn't be more helpful.

Hands down the best experience. Meal were incredible as well as boat lunches. We really can't say enough good about Crocodile Bay and the people. Crocodile Bay My son 19 and I just returned from a week at Crocodile Bay with 3 days of fishing The fishing Days spent out on the water with Captain Anthony Santos and mate Lleandro were just awesome days.

These guys are professionals Having Todd Staley back as the Director of Fishing gives the lodge immense fishing knowledge but also the importance of conservation. Anything we needed or wanted these guys took care of I requested that someone catch me some tunaso that I could have sashimi for dinner and these guys got right on it! Plus you know when, Mark Davis from Big Water Adventures is there to film an episode you have made the right decision for the fishing!

He, his crew and family could not have been nicer people The lodge is just a special place. It is not fancy but comfortable, and beyond well run. From the moment you arrive until you leave, Ms Olimpia and everyone there treat you like family. We met other families from newlyweds to a family with young children that all felt the same way.

The food is fresh and delicious. And plentifulmy son eats alot! The ecotours are so fun but also so educational. The Osa is a place that continues to amaze us each time we go. There is always more to see and discover Dennis and Diego, the ecoguides, are again amazing. And the spaawwwwwwww. Massages and chocolate wraps are first rate. Gloriana and all the ladies at the spa are great! Crocodile Bay is a special place.

Yes, it is a fishing lodge, and a world class, first rate one at that but more importantly to my son and I it is a place that brings family and all kinds of people together to share in an amazing part of the world. Just go We stayed here for a few days to concentrate on some fishing both inshore and offshore This is a lovely resort and there is a lovely lady called Olympia Who offers you a very friendly greeting upon your arrival and indeed makes cookies for you to throw into the sea before you start fishing as a lucky omen for the day The accommodation whilst not luxurious is quite acceptable and it is very clean and around the resort there is a very happy atmosphere of people sharing tales of the days expeditions adventures and fishing stories Our Captain Small Boats Big Waves Youtube 4k Sharley and his mate David Really looked after us and we certainly knew this stuff and we ended up catching some massive sailfish rooster fish snappers and allsorts of other bits and bobs and it was a fantastic two days fishing I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this resource and I very much hope that we will have the opportunity of revisiting in the not too distant future.

Our trip to Maui Kaanapali Villas was perfect as always! The Staff is always friendly and gracious! The Grounds and Pool area were comfortable and relaxing. We hope it can reopen! We have 7 and 9 year old children, the pool was perfect for them, an excellent beach right outside the resort, we rented boogie boards and cabanas from the hotel, that was convenient.

The kids could swim in the waves everyday we were there. Clean and comfortable room. We did have a full kitchen unit that we had booked. No daily cleaning service because of Covid restrictions, we were there for 10 nights but they brought towels, soap, TP, Kleenx, etc as needed on request and picked up the dirty linens as well. Pool towels provided by the hotel, swapped them out daily for clean towels as well. Save room in you bag, don't pack the beach towels.

I used the laundry facility a couple times, it was clean it didn't scare me to put my clothes in them : , Use the change not the credit card machine in the laundry facility. We ate at the restaurant several times, service was a little slow a couple times but it was due to them being understaffed becuase of Covid restrictions so understandable.

Food was casual dining but did the trick for hungry kids that eat pancakes, chicken fingers and burgers. My husband loved the Loco Moco breakfast, a local fav! We had a wonderful experience at this hotel all around.

The entire property and location is great overall. Close to the beach and not super crowded like the Whalers Village area. The room we stayed in two years ago was super nice. My family whom had two separate rooms, had rooms that felt very homey and up to date, while our room in dolphin building felt like it needed some love. It was dark and had old furniture and just felt not as welcoming as the other rooms did.

Overall, still a great place to stay! I will be going back on many more trips to come. I went back to the front desk and was told they were completely sold out. The rooms are not nice, they are not clean, I was so disappointed.

Two elevators are meant to service the six floors of the tower's condos, but one has reportedly been out of order for over a year causing backups for guests, owners, and housekeepers alike. Our waits for the last operational elevator were exceptionally long and aggravating during the day, especially during these Covid19 times when social distancing pretty much limits that sole remaining cab to only two persons.

Surely it must be costing owner rentals, and almost certainly has cost Aston a young fortune in lost wages as their housekeepers and maintenance workers graciously let everyone else go ahead of them. I've seen them wait and wait and wait until they're lucky enough to snag a ride for their cleaning carts once the only operational elevator finally comes available.

It's likely the money lost by just Aston alone could have paid for elevator repairs several times over. We arrived early so we had to wait until 4p for check in, but I was able to get a key card early so the kids could go to the pool.

The property is shaped kind of like a Z, so if you end up farther down its a very long walk to the pool. Some units are owned by different owners rented out so I think that is where some of the bad reviews come in. The rooms could be cleaned better, so i went through with clorox wipes and did some more wiping down but the unit was in good shape and good size with the bedrooms upstairs. You definitely want to Bring your own pool towels, laundry soap, garbage bags, and extra kitchen supplies as its not provided.

We had 4 towels for 6 people and no pool towels were ever stocked and the local Walmart was out of towels, paper products, balls and much more so i was happy i came prepared. There is a Publix nearby that had plenty of groceries. We stayed at Fountain's Resort in early march before the Covid nightmare.

The staff were kind an courteous and the place was well kept. Cons: -The sofa in our unit looked like a kid was left alone with a knife, cant really blame that on the resort but it wasn't great to come into a damaged couch. Good price for a family on a budget.

House was clean and bright. We stayed here after a week in myrtle beach and oh my goodness! This place is amazing! Jessica at the front desk was smiling and welcoming as soon as we walked in. We had a beautiful room with so much to do on property! Recent stay at Fountains was enjoyable. Check In was easy. Good location, nice property with a heated pool and hot tub. Large 4 bedroom townhouse was very nice. Cleanliness of dining and living room carpets were the biggest negative for us.

No way it was vacuumed prior to our arrival. Leftover food and long blonde hairs all over the carpets. Exterior of stainless steel appliances should have been cleaned. Bathrooms and bedrooms were all cleaned satisfactory. My wife vacuumed the dining and living room carpets. We could not find the remote for the provided DVD player. We requested a replacement at the front desk, but one was never delivered. Outside of the initial dirtiness of the carpets, our stay was very enjoyable. We would probably return next year.

We made plans to go to Orlando for a golf getaway. Great location within minutes to champions gate. Easy to make plans and head down from Connecticut. We arrived early to see where we were staying. Front desk clerk had our cell phone and would call us when room ready.

A 4 PM check-in turned out to be PM due to a very dirty condo left by previous renters. The kitchen floor and entry way were filthy along with the carpet to the upstairs. The handle was torn off a kitchen cabinet door. There was a nail tak in the bedroom closet sticking out.

There were only six towels for 4 adults for 4 nights. There were no plastic trash bags to put your garbage out. We still enjoyed our stay. This unit could use some attention in the near future.

Staff and rooms were great! Tracy helped my family and I settle in and she made everything so easy and quick. There were no problems here, everything was great. Oceanfront was beautiful and it was not busy like other hotels. Extremely helpful and courteous staff. From the check-in, to the valet, everyone was really helpful. Although expensive, the room and views were great. Walking in, this place doesn't have a grand lobby and waiting room like most hotels, but it more than makes up for it via the view from its room.

Staff and grounds were exceptional, very friendly, valet parking was great, the room met our families needs along with a great view, pool and grill area while on the small side were very nice.

We will be back again. We stayed at this hotel recently during our 1 week vacation in Oahu. This was our second stay and the experience was even better 1. The balconies are big, kitchen and bathrooms are nicely upgraded and everything works as it should 4. If you are looking for a 2BR type accommodation, do check them out before signing up for any of the other larger resorts. This property is located mid-beach in Waikiki and has terrific views of the ocean from well appointed and spacious rooms.

The staff are super friendly and relaxed. The parking is free and though you currently have to reserve time at the pool and BBQ, it is well managed and the areas are thoroughly cleaned regularly. We really enjoyed our time there and hope to return on a future trip to Oahu. I booked this place last minute on booking. The options were slim pickings but after watching some YouTube reviews and such we decided to do it. My family and I checked in on a Saturday for 2 nights.

I called 2 hours prior to the 4pm check in to see if the room was ready as they offer early check in if available. I was informed the room had been ready for quite sometime now and we could head over and get checked in immediately. Upon our arrival everything seemed great. It was clean and nice looking, the lobby was nice as was the gated community feature. After unloading our items we started seeing red flags before even getting to the room. The elevator up to the room was in poor condition.

The appearance of the doors to the different units were worn down and beat up looking. Upon entry into room I was not impressed. We scooped out the rooms and bathrooms and immediately started seeing issues. In the main shared bathroom the tub had what I thought was chips in the bottom of it and turned out to be large pieces of dirt.

There were also NO towels. In the main bed bedroom the safe would not lock. The issues only got bigger from there. The living room furniture had crusted food smears on it, several low areas on the walls had bright orange maybe Cheeto smears from a small child with maybe Cheeto fingers. The giant mirror hanging in the entry way had hot Cheeto or taki smeared all over it.

Absolutely disgusting!!! I am a mom of 3 I get it kids eat they get yucky and touch stuff BUT also as a former housekeeper who has spent years working in a hotel this was unacceptable. In the kitchen the cabinets had really old spills running down them including some gooeyiness running down the front of the dishwasher. I immediately called the front desk and gave them a list of issues with the cleanliness and they apologized and said someone would come fix it all. I advised we were going to the pool area for a few hours and would be back.

The nice girl on the phone assured me it would be taken care of. My family changed into swim suits and headed to the pool. Upon arriving at the pool it was nice set up. However the type of people that were mainly there were not the type I would prefer to have my kids around. It was very unappealing, however we kept to ourselves found an empty corner in the pool and made the best of it.

At the end of our pool time my husband who used to be a life guard years back had to pull a baby out of the water not even 2 yrs old from the pool near where he was standing because the parents just were not watching and she did not come back up after jumping in.

After he grabbed her out and looked around for her parents he gave the baby back to them and instead of making sure she was ok the mother starts yelling at the dad that he was suppose to watch her and they continued swimming. As much water as that poor baby took on she needed to be examined by a Dr. It was NOT!! No one had been there after 2hrs. I called back down to the front desk and the girl put me on hold then came back after a minute or 2 and stated she spoke to the head of housekeeping and the man who Small Boats Big Waves Youtube 72 was assigned our room to rectify the issues was still not done cleaning other units that were check outs.

I advised her that we were here already so whoever needed to stop what they were doing and fix our unit then return to whatever else. She apologized and promised they would get it taken care of, at that time my kids had also noticed that the door handles to the different rooms had crusted matter on them as well.

I became irate and asked the girl for a different room entirely. I then proceed to advise her we would not being staying between the crowd that was there and the filth of the room. I asked her for a full refund. She stated she would give me a full refund.
