Setting up rod holders should be considered in three dimensions, with the aim of spreading the rod tips as far apart across the back of the boat and as far apart in height on the boat. Rod holders are available in many configurations - straight, angled, long, short, through-mount, surface-mount, rail-mount and custom-angled.
