This campground is 45 minutes north of Steamboat Springs, which I felt was perfect. You feel like you are getting away from it all and yet can drive into town for supplies and activities.

It's a campgrpund drive along Elk River. The sites are spaced nicely and a few offer a bit of privacy with trees. The majority of the sites are up on a hill with a view of the surrounding mountains and the lake. Fun, fun, fun! This was one of the best campgrounds for young families, and older people who love children. There was so many kids riding bikes on the paved pathways! Our kids made so many friends. We stayed in our toy hauler, and our two girls stayed in the tent outside.
