It is not a Regultor and it is not a deep vee hull but for an all around fair weather boat the is a great value. You need to first decide where you are going to use the boat to know if the will work for you. For a fair weather boat a 20 degree deadrise is fine but don't venture far offshore unless noaa is calling for light and variable.

If you plan to go off shore in a small boat you need a deep vee, 24 degree deadrise, or a variable deadrise like a Seacraft or a Sailfish. Send a private message to South Point. Using the tabs and trim took care of most of this if you pushed the bow down into the waves. At rest the lowest part of the hull is located right around the helm area.

Due to this I added a second bilge pump in that location. It can be accessed by pulling the panel inside the cabin infront of the helm. Wanted something a little larger and bought a 21' sea boss. The hull mold is the same as is the look, but the overall quality and finish are no where near what a sea pro is and yes the price is a lot different too!
